Cooperation With ofi Turkey And Hazelnut Research Institute
Based on our purpose to ‘Re-imagine Global Agriculture and Food Systems’, ofi Turkey moves forward with growing responsibly in sustainable manner. A cooperation protocol was signed with Hazelnut Research Institute (FAE) building on existing initiatives. The cooperation protocol aims to contribute to the awareness-raising activities on good farming practices conducted for community members in the hazelnut production areas through joint efforts carried out by FAE and ofi Turkey. For this purpose, national and international projects, especially educational studies on hazelnut agriculture will be implemented; relevant workshops and events will be organized.
The protocol was signed by ofi Turkey Piraziz Factory Manager Özgür KADIOĞLU and Hazelnut Research Institute Director Aysun AKAR.

ofi Turkey is one of the major hazelnut exporters in our country. We will provide technical support to their sustainable hazelnut agriculture activities through our Institute experts. We are also planning to carry out joint projects in the future. As we see in other fields, public-private sector cooperation will create great results in obtaining high quality and yield as it will pave the way for exhange of experiences and knowledge between two parties.

As ofi Turkey, we put our sustainability efforts at the focus of our business. While continuing our sustainability programs to increase the quality and yield of the hazelnuts in our region, our joint work with the Hazelnut Research Institute will uplift both us and the region. We believe that we will make a great contribution to the hazelnut sector by signing a cooperation protocol with the Hazelnut Research Institute, that is well-known for the tremendous effort on the improvements in good farming of the hazelnuts.
