Renovation of Libraries for Children in Ordu
Books have a great importance in terms of children's emotional, cognitive and social development. Books expand the child's knowledge and thus develop their ability to express their feelings and thoughts better. Every object that they touch is a game tool for them.
The children should not be left without a book and therefore ofi renovated two libraries in two different schools in order for them to be more attractive for the children, with the idea of going to libraries or bookstores together with the children to receive new books when needed. These two schools are active during the regular education periods as well as they are open during the summer time for the incoming seasonal migrant workers children. Students learn to share books from the library. The habit of borrowing books from the library not only creates a consciousness of using a library in children, but also improves their behavior about how to use their own books. As ofi we have renovated the libraries in the 2 village schools in the east black sea region in Ordu in order provide the most efficient use of various books and resources suitable for the age and period of the children in those schools.
